People often tell me they want to make more use of their garden but have no idea where to start but once you know the basics, gardening is really easy. To get you started I have put together this simple guide giving you tips on how to grow your own plants, fruit and vegetables.
Growing your own fruit and vegetables in the garden will not only be fun but eating them will keep the family healthy too. Fruit and vegetables are packed with essential vitamins, minerals and fibre which may help reduce the risk of nasty diseases like cancer and heart disease. So it’s important for both children and adults to eat a variety of at least five portions of fruit and vegetables every day.
Whatever type of garden you have, be it a rolling lawn or containers on your balcony, the plants, fruit and vegetables included below are great for your whole family to grow and eat. Not only is it satisfying to watch them grow, it’s fun and will help the towards their five a day.
