About Us
The Horticultural Trades Association (HTA) is the main representative body for garden industry growers, retailers, landscapers, wholesalers, specialist groups, manufacturers and suppliers.
The HTA has been operating for over 100 years and help to promote the profitable growth of its individual members. It is the industry's voice to the media and Government, and provides a forum to identify and deal with key issues and opportunities in the gardening industry.
The campaign is also financed with the assistance of the
European Community, with the welcome aim of assisting UK and EU horticulture to flourish in an increasingly competitive commercial environment.
Research
Ongoing research is being carried out by the HTA in conjunction with Reading University, into the benefits which plants and green surroundings can bring. The research findings have been published since 1991 and form the basis for this initiative.
